Course of study Master

ICT Master’s degree programme

You can apply for the Master’s degree programme in ICT after completing your Bachelor’s degree in ICT or after completing a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject. Students can choose from the following three specialisations during the Master’s degree programme:

Embedded Systems
Communication Networks and Transmission Technology
Multimedia Systems

There is a catalogue of compulsory modules and additional compulsory elective modules for each specialisation (10 ECTS EEI and 10 ECTS INF). In addition to these modules, students complete the following:

  • elective modules from the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering and the Department of Computer Science,
  • elective modules from the Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Sciences
  • elective modules from all subjects offered by FAU,
  • a placement within the University or a project,
  • a seminar,
  • a Master’s thesis with a presentation and
  • a research project.
